Dear Mary, Lana, and Carol,

Thank you for last Tuesday--my time at IAG was informative and incredibly helpful. In the abstract, I already appreciated IAG's insistence on meeting with prospective parents; now, having actually experienced those hours with you, I am even more grateful. Nothing can really substitute for the face-to-face, and I'm so glad to have met and talked with you in person. (I feel privileged, as well, to have met Larisa, which I understand is kind of rare. Surely, a good omen!)

There is not a lot of certainty in international adoption, but I am absolutely certain that I chose the right agency--this group of skilled, engaged, intelligent, warm individuals--to travel this most important and most intimate of paths with me. Having received your acceptance letter over the weekend (yay!), I am ready to delve into the contract and next steps, and will be back in touch shortly.
