Celebrating Adoption is an organization of photographers dedicated to promoting adoption. Our participating photographers are very different: some shoot with natural light while others use studio light; some prefer posing the subject while others prefer the spontaneity of lifestyle photography; but we all have one thing in common, the desire to celebrate your adoption with you!

What is a Celebrating Adoption session?
If you are an adoptive family and have adopted your child within the last year, you qualify for a Celebrating Adoption session. You will receive a complimentary portrait session (session fee is waived) and a set of proofs.

***Our volunteers give 100% of their time, talent and goods to do this work. Please do not abuse the organization by scheduling more than one photographer per child or adoption. How do I schedule a session?

Please contact a participating photographer in your area to discuss scheduling and locations. Each photographer schedules his or her own portrait sessions. Because of the free nature of these sessions, many photographers will need to limit their Celebrating Adoption sessions per month, so call early to plan for your session.

KidsCultureCenter.com was founded by Barbara Blackwell in 2002. After completing two adoptions in Russia, Ms. Blackwell searched the web and local resources for cultural information to share with her children about their native countries. She was surprised and frustrated by the lack of regional cultural days and the difficulty in obtaining the information she sought for her children.

Determined to preserve her children's rich cultural heritage and satisfy the needs of other adoptive families, Ms. Blackwell has done extensive research and brought together the best sources of information available on the internet as well as those available in local communities. This web site contains a compilation of many links of interest to families of international adoption.

Adoption Day Cards is the partnership of Kate Cutko and Katie Campbell. Kate and Katie met in graduate school and bonded over craft projects instead of homework. Eventually each moved to Maine where they now live with their families. By coincidence, both have adopted children. When it came time for Adoption Day there were no cards available that felt right. So... Adoption Day Cards was born to help celebrate adoption for these families.
